Scams Aware

Coping with post-scam trauma

Mental Health

Scams can be distressing. It’s important to take care of yourself and seek support during this time

It’s normal to feel a range of emotions such as anger, frustration or embarrassment after being scammed. Allow yourself to process these emotions and don’t be too hard on yourself. Don’t feel bad about yourself.

Opening up about your experience with trusted friends and family members can provide emotional support. They may also offer advice or share similar experiences, making you feel less alone.

Practice self-care. Engage in activities that help you relax and reduce stress. This could include exercise, meditation, spending time in nature, pursuing hobbies, or spending quality time with loved ones. Taking care of yourself physically and emotionally is crucial for recovery.

You will eventually recover.
